Feather Purchase Requirement
Please note the following is only related to the shipment of feathers to destinations outside of Trinidad and Tobago.
Feathers intended for ornamental use can only be exported out of Trinidad and Tobago with the appropriate certification. Customers are advised that the importation of feathers will require a health certificate and a feather permit in advance of the arrival of the shipment in order to be able to clear the goods.
As such, Export Feather Permits are required on a shipment by shipment basis and only after the supporting documents have been presented by Samaroo’s Limited to the relevant authorities. This means, once your order has been fulfilled and paid, a permit will be requested from Animal Health Subdivision, Ministry of Food Production. Permits are normally processed within 3-4 business days and will be provided with other supporting documents for shipment.
Once a request has been made for an Export Permit, the information cannot be altered, therefore we urge customers to carefully select feathers with respective quantities before checkout. If you place a subsequent order, please note the time frame will start from the first business day of checkout. In the event that some items are required urgently, feathers should be ordered separately from the other merchandise.
Export Feather Permit costs $20.00TTD or 2.95USD for each request.
